Multiliteracies Theory in the Context of Power Dynamics As discussed in previous sections, the New London Group (2000, cited in Antsey and Bull, 2006) presents a theoretical overview of the connections between the changing social environment facing students and teachers, and a new approach to literacy pedagogy termed ‘multiliteracies’ (Cazden et al., 1996).
